Gabriel Meffre Laurus Hermitage Red 2005, 90 pts :”Approachable already, this is perfumy up front with black tea and mulled spice notes fronting for black cherry, plum cake and coffee notes. Shades of cedar and roasted vanilla frame the finish. Drink now through 2016.”

Gabriel Meffre Laurus Hermitage White 2005, 90 pts : “Ripe and concentrated, with dried mango, peach, nectarine and green melon notes laced with honey, warm brioche and toasted macadamia nut notes. There’s a hint of coconut oil on the finish. Drink now through 2011.”

Gabriel Meffre Laurus Condrieu 2006 91 pts : “Very bright with white peach, green apple and melon fruit flavors laced with an enticing floral hint. Long and pure through the juicy finish. This has a lovely mouthfeel. Drink now through 2011.”

Gabriel Meffre Laurus Gigondas 2006 91 pts : “Rich but racy, with a lovely black tea and warm cherry sauce perfume leading the way for juicy currant, fig and braised-beef notes. Warm licorice and coffee frame the finish. Drink now through 2014.”

Le Caveau Gabriel Meffre au Domaine de Longue Toque accueille cet été les oeuvres d’un peintre plein de talent établi dans le joli village de Sablet, tout à côté de Gigondas :

Frédéric Montel a grandi en Avignon, entouré par une mère Professeur d’Art plastiques et une tradition familiale artistique qui l’ont fortement influencé.

Après un Bac littéraire et des études d’Histoire, il poursuit actuellement une carrière dans l’enseignement.

Il expose ses oeuvres pour la première fois au caveau Gabriel Meffre à Gigondas du 17 juillet au 15 septembre 2009.
